Welcome to our blogsite

Every wedding has as many stories as there are guests; by working naturally and unobtrusively as a team we, Dan and Judith, cover different aspects to tell your wedding story. We enjoy shooting the whole of your wedding, from morning preparations till evening celebrations!

Our first chance to care for you and your memories is at a complimentary engagement or pre-wedding photo shoot. It is a fun way of being photographed and it will help to make your wedding photos look natural and relaxed. You will be able to stroll back through your wedding photos for years to come, and remember us with fondness, pleased with your choice in photographers.

Wedding Coordinator Recommendation? No thanks.

We've just been apporached (again) by a Wedding Coordinator who wanted to recommend us, for a fee.

We would like to let our couples know that we do not pay for any recommendations for two simple reasons:

1. The customer will be paying twice for the same service; once directly to the coordinator and once through us in the form of a 'commission'.

2. If we are only being recommended because we paid for it, then the coordinator is not interested in finding the best photographer for their customer, but in the best paying photographer.

We are more than happy to work with good Wedding Coordinators who will not ask for a commission (from us, or the caterer, the venue, etc.) as they can provide couples with genuine help and advice.

Anastasia & Barney @ Tintern Abbey

The day before this shoot it had been raining and we had to postpone it for a day. The following day the sun only started to come through when we arrived at Tintern Abbey, and we were pleased that we could change our umbrellas for a parasol.

The balcony is where Barney proposed, a good while back. They have waited for a long time, but Anastasia and Barney will get married at Berkeley Castle within a few weeks.

The wedding day of Jemma & Mike @ The Heath House, Tean

19 May 2011

Jemma & Mike booked The Heath House only weeks before the wedding day, and was a last minute replacement for their original venue, which was unable to live up to its promise.

It obviously caused a lot of anxiety, hence Jemma's tears (of joy) when she was about to walk into the cermony room, knowing that it was going to happen afterall!

The venue was wonderful and the people were really helpful. I think Jemma & Mike will agree that in the end, Heath House was the better choice of venue.  Blog_Jemma_Mike_03Blog_Jemma_Mike_02 Blog_Jemma_Mike_01 Blog_Jemma_Mike_04 Blog_Jemma_Mike_05 Blog_Jemma_Mike_06 Blog_Jemma_Mike_07 Blog_Jemma_Mike_08 Blog_Jemma_Mike_09 Blog_Jemma_Mike_10 Blog_Jemma_Mike_11

Elisa & Richard @ Witley Court

Elisa & Richard's wedding is in April and they asked us if they could have their pre-wedding shoot at Witley Court. It wasn't our suggestion, but we love Witley Court as it has a very athmospheric setting.

Also, it was a very welcome surprise to find that they had taken their 3 childrens with them, who were more than willing to be photographed.

Here are some photos from their guest book.
We are not showing the photos where Richard is on one knee, to avoide any parental-embarrassment ;) Blog_Elisa_Richard_01 Blog_Elisa_Richard_06 Blog_Elisa_Richard_05 Blog_Elisa_Richard_03 Blog_Elisa_Richard_04 Blog_Elisa_Richard_02

International recognition for DFP

Jorgensen Albums is proud to be one of Australia's premium album manufacturers and we are proud that they thought our album design is good enough to show off one of their premium products!

Jorgensen Albums has used our photos of our album design in their Showroom.

Here's the link to our original post that caught Claire Jorgensen's eye and she asked us if we could do her a favour by emailing some of our album images. Well, how could we refuse? With Jorgensen having thousands of customers to choose from we feel quite honoured that they put so much trust in our album design skills.

And if you want to see the album for yourself then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

New Photo Cover Guest Books

We are still among the very few photographers who offer their clients a pre-wedding shoot as standard. It is such a great thing to do and we always look forward to doing them. We leave it up to our couples where they want to have the shoot, and we've been all over the country to meet up with them.

There are other options but maybe only one or two couples a year do not go for the guest book. Our guest books are not only a reminder of the pre-wedding shoot, they are also very personal, compared to a standard book from a newsagent etc.

To make them even more attractive, we now offer the same quality books but with a photo cover wrap. We've just received the first of our new style guest book, and we are really pleased with them. They look really unique and, trust me, every one of your guests will want to sign this guest book.

The photo wraps around the whole outside of the guest book and is laminted in a scuff-resistant matt finish film. It won't leave any fingerprints or reflective glare and the covers are less likely to get stained with wine or wedding cake!

The photo cover option will be made available to all our couples who are getting married in July or later or have not yet received their guest book.

Jessica & Mark's Wedding @ Grafton Manor Hotel, Worcester

15 MAY 2010

It has been a couple of years since we photographed a wedding at Grafton Manor and we were glad to visit them again. The extensive grounds are all but finished and the gardens look fantastic. And so did Jess and Mark. We went to Ludlow only a few weeks ago to do their pre-wedding shoot and therefore knew how photogenic they are. It's nice for us too, to have a couple who are so at ease in front of the camera. They are still on Honeymoon when they find their wedding photos in their private gallery; we've put 300+ for them and their family to enjoy. Unfortunately, we can only put a few here on the blog.   Blog_Jess_Mark_01Blog_Jess_Mark_02Blog_Jess_Mark_03Blog_Jess_Mark_04 Blog_Jess_Mark_05 Blog_Jess_Mark_06 Blog_Jess_Mark_07 Blog_Jess_Mark_08 Blog_Jess_Mark_09 Blog_Jess_Mark_10

Alex & Simon's Wedding @ All Saints Church, Worcester

07 April 2010

Last Saturday Alex and Simon got married at All Saint's Church in Worcester. Right now I've started to go through the photos of Alexandré and Simon's day and will post a few here as I go along. Alex told me that she was up till about 4:00AM in the morning and I'm glad to say that it doesn't show in the photos!

However, the day didn't start of too well, for me, as I ripped my pants back to front while I was taking photos of Alex's shoes (AKA "The Beasts")! Thankfully Judith is not only very handy with a camera but with a needle too. Another good reason to have two photographers at your wedding.

Alex & Simon @ Worcester river bank

THURSDAY, 18 MARCH 2010

Yesterday's pre-wedding shoot had been organised in a hurry as Alex and Simon only booked us last week and their wedding is in two weeks from Saturday. That doesn't leave much time to produce the Guest Book and we have to thank Chris at SharedInk for pushing their album into the front of the queue.

Alex and Simon are getting married at the church near one end of the Worcester river bank and Simon proposed at the other end of the river bank. Obviously, we had to take some shots at both spots which meant we spent a bit more time than planned. But Alex and Simon still invited us to a local restaurant, so it can't have been too bad an experience!

Blog_Alex_Simon_07 Blog_Alex_Simon_08    In two weeks time they'll be walking down these steps as Mr & Mrs!
